About Us

A new ABADÁ Capoeira location is emerging at Lake Tegernsee, and we warmly welcome you to be part of it.

Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that combines movement, music, and rhythm. It develops strength, flexibility, coordination, and endurance. Training is suitable for all ages and fitness levels – whether you are just starting out or already have experience.

ABADÁ Capoeira is a globally active community with groups in many countries. This international network connects Brazilian tradition with a modern training approach and regular exchange across borders.

The Tegernsee location is organizationally part of Capoeira Union München e. V. and is being developed in close cooperation with the established Munich group. This allows us to combine the experience and quality of a well-structured association with the personal atmosphere of a new training space by the lake.

We invite you to help shape this new location and become part of a vibrant Capoeira community – with movement, music, and training in a unique setting at Lake Tegernsee.

Mestrando Bronco
Mestrando Bronco

Leonardo Da Silva Nascimento (Mestrando Bronco) started his Capoeira journey in 1990 in Rio de Janeiro at the ABADÁ Capoeira school. Since 2003 he has worked in Europe, initially in Austria in the cities of Salzburg and Innsbruck. Since 2010, he has lived and taught in Munich, where he has further developed his work and trained numerous students.

In 2025, he achieved the title of Mestrando, an award of great significance within the ABADÁ Capoeira school. Today, he is the leader and trainer of the associated club. His dedication, experience, and passion have made him an important reference for Capoeira in Germany and Europe.

Graduado Piu
Graduado Piu

Karsten Gordon (Graduado Piu) first came into contact with Capoeira in 2002 in Paderborn and founded his own club there with friends. After moving to Berlin, he continued his training with Professora Nativa from 2006 and developed further within ABADÁ Capoeira over many years. Several stays in Brazil deepened his understanding of Capoeira's cultural and technical roots.

After moving to Tegernsee in 2018, he took a break before resuming training in 2025 and becoming a student of Mestrando Bronco in Munich. Today, he is committed to building the new ABADÁ Capoeira group at Tegernsee and brings his many years of experience and deep connection to Capoeira into the local work.

ABADÁ Capoeira

ABADÁ Capoeira was founded in Brazil in 1988 by Mestre Camisa. Its aim was to preserve Capoeira traditions while creating new ways for training and community. The name ABADÁ stands for “Associação Brasileira de Apoio e Desenvolvimento da Arte-Capoeira” (Brazilian Association for the Support and Development of the Art of Capoeira).

Since its beginning, ABADÁ has grown into one of the largest and most respected Capoeira organizations worldwide. It combines traditional values with modern training methods, promoting physical fitness, cultural understanding, and social integration.

ABADÁ Capoeira emphasizes respect, discipline, and mutual support. Training includes techniques, music, singing, and the history of Capoeira, strengthening the connection between body and mind.

Today, ABADÁ has thousands of members and groups in over 50 countries. The organization regularly hosts workshops, events, and exchange programs to promote Capoeira culture globally.

The community offers a platform for both beginners and experienced Capoeiristas to develop their skills. Its worldwide network fosters cultural exchange and personal growth.

ABADÁ Capoeira represents a vibrant, inclusive movement that brings together people of all ages and backgrounds. It preserves Brazilian tradition while building a global network of Capoeira enthusiasts.
